Can I still move house during coronavirus?

Yes, removalists are considered to be an essential logistics service, so we are still operating. Our head offices in Hobart and Launceston are open and contactable. You can move your belongings both locally and interstate, however you will need to review the current advice for each state.

WA has border restrictions in place and an exemption may be needed.

How do I know if it’s safe to move?

Yes, you, your family and your belongings are safe moving with Price’s We want to assure that we have put in place health and safety measures and our staff are practicing personal hygiene and social distancing while working and at home. Where possible, we provide contactless delivery.

If you have a move booked with us, we urge you to let us know immediately if you are showing symptoms of, or have been in contact with anyone with COVID-19.

I’m in my new home – do I need to self-isolate?

For a local move, no. If moving interstate, you may need to self-isolate for 14 days but is dependent the measures that each state government has put in place. For example, if you are moving to Tasmania, you may be required to enter self-isolation for 14 days in government provided accommodation unless you meet the strict criteria for an Essential Traveller.

Can I move house during a Stage 3 Lockdown/Shutdown ?

Some states have implemented Stage 3 restrictions, again you will need to check the respective state government’s rules. However, moving house and removalist services are still permitted during Stage 3.

What do I do if I have a removal booked but I need to self-isolate?

If you have a removal planned but are self-isolating due to coronavirus symptoms or other reasons, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. We will be able to offer you a number of different options depending on your current situation as quickly as possible.
